Hart County 

  • Priceville Community Center Basement at 7030 Raider Hollow Road in Munfordville. According to chief Noah Rountree with the Priceville Volunteer Fire Department, the center opens to function as a storm shelter during severe thunderstorm or tornado warnings and watches. Below is a list of rules for the community center:
    1. Persons that wish to seek shelter in the Priceville Community Center Basement come by their own free will and are under no duress to do so.
    2. Person(s) seeking shelter in the Priceville Community Center Basement understand that although the Priceville Volunteer Fire Department, INC. has insurance which provides coverage for their personnel, apparatuses, equipment and structure, person(s) seeking shelter at the Priceville Community Center Basement may not be covered under the aforementioned insurance.
    3. Person(s) whom enter the Priceville Community Center Basement agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Priceville Volunteer Fire Department, INC. and its officers, members, board members and other agents from any and all claims causes of action, damages, illness, injury, death or legal liabilities of any kind arising by their decision to seek shelter at the Priceville Community Center Basement or from any act of omission of the Priceville Volunteer Fire Department, INC. or its members.
    4. Person(s) seeking shelter at the Priceville Community Center Basement understand that any member of command staff of the Priceville Volunteer Fire Department, INC. can terminate his/her privilege to seek shelter at the Priceville Community Center Basement for any reason and is not obligated to provide reason. The document is active when person(s) enter the Priceville Community Center Basement to seek shelter from inclement weather.
    5. Person(s) seeking shelter in the Priceville Community Center Basement hereby agree to the rules listed and are as follows. The following actions are prohibited: utilizing profanity, going upstairs for any reason, fussing, arguing, drinking alcoholic beverages or using any other ETOH substance and leaving trash outside of a trash bin.
    6. Children must be supervised by their guardian and must not be permitted to engage in running, jumping or any other type of horseplay.
    7. Pets (cats/dogs) must remain alongside their owners and on a leash at all times. If the pet urinates or defecates in the floor, the owner is responsible for cleaning the urine/feces and placing it in the proper trash bin.
    8. If there are any issues discovered in the building (TV issues, light issues, etc.) or with another person(s) seeking shelter, please report this to fire chief Noah Rountree. For a true emergency, contact 911.

  • North Metcalfe Volunteer Fire Department Center Fire Station at 498 Center Peggyville Road
  • North Metcalfe Volunteer Fire Department Sulphur Well Station at 18 Sulphur Well Methodist Church Road
  • 1410 W Stockton St. at the parking lot of the bingo hall (two shelters)
  • 106 Sherwood Lane on the hill above McDonald’s
  • 422 East St. at the parking lot across from farmer’s market
